On Friday, Jan. 20, 1967 this office was contacted by States Attorney investigator Martin Dardas.  He requested the following:

Two detectives from New Orleans, along with an Assistant District Attorney, were in the Miami area attempting to locate a "wanted" suspect.  They had been here for approximately one week and were staying at the Racquet Club, North Bay Village.  For unknown reasons they were working under top secret conditions.  It was requested that we contact the aforementioned investigators and assist them.  They are as follows:

The writer contacted the above investigators at the Racquet Club at 3.00 P.M. Jan. 20, 1967 and the following was learned.

Felony charges involving narcotics were filed in New Orleans against one EMANUEL GARCIA GONZALEZ (no further information).  They had several names of possible associates which they were attempting to locate.  An appointment was made to meet at the Miami Police Dept. Saturday, Jan. 21, 1967 at 2.00 P.M. to check our M.O. files mug shots and Records Bureau.  Several photographs were obtained and mailed to their office in New Orleans.  They stated they would be in the Miami area for several more days.

At 9.15 A.M. this date State Attorney Investigator Martin Dardas contacted this office and asked if we knew the whereabouts of the New Orleans investigators.  They had checked out of the Racquet Club Sunday without leaving a message.
